I'm going home!
Von eva-amiland, 16:51

I'm staring out into the night,
Trying to hide the pain.
I'm going to the place where love
And feeling good don't ever cost a thing.
And the pain you feel's a different kind of pain.

I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old
So I'm going home.
Well I'm going home.

The miles are getting longer, it seems,
The closer I get to you.
I've not always been the best man or friend for you.
But your love, remains true.
And I don't know why.
You always seem to give me another try.

So I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old.

Be careful what you wish for,
'Cause you just might get it all.
You just might get it all,
And then some you don't want.
Be careful what you wish for,
'Cause you just might get it all.
You just might get it all, yeah.

Oh, well I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old.
I said these places and these faces are getting old.
So I'm going home.
I'm going home.
See you all soon!!   Love, Eva.

The best week ever...
Von eva-amiland, 17:44

Sorry, that I haven't written in a while, but I was kinda busy lately...I guess I have to make an entry now, since Alex complained about it...haha ;-)

Ok, about Florida:
It was soooo much fun! All the people were just awesome...we hang out all together , because everyone was so open-minded and interested in each other. I learned a lot about different countries and we had just tons of fun together.
On the first day (after a 24 hour ride on the bus) we went to Cocoa Beach and spent the whole day there. We went for walks, went swimming in the ocean, went shopping and all got burned...we looked like a bunch of carrots...

The next days we went to all the different Disney-World parks (four all together). It is so much fun there...
We also went to the Universal City Walk at night (hard to explain, but it was cool) and had dinner at "Bob Marley".  One night we had a dance...I refused to dance, but at the end they all made me to...I probably looked extremely stupid as usual. =)
And we went to the world's largest McDonald's...woo hoo!

That's pretty much it. Wow I'm getting really lazy lately. My entries get shorter every time...I will let the pictures speak for me... ;-)

New York, New York
Von eva-amiland, 17:46

Well, I actually already told most people about New York; so because of that and because I am too lazy right know, I won't write a lot...

Ok, most of the time we spent with Nancy's family and we really had a fun time (they are all a little funny...)
For one day we went to New York City!! Yay! Since the weather was horrible (as lucky as I am), we went to a the National Museum of Natural History first. It was actually pretty interesting. After we spent like four hours in there we went to the subway (and saw Central Park on the way) to get to Times Square. Times Square is just sooo cool , just like on TV!
For dinner we went to a Thai restaurant and Panida talked in Thai with the waiter... haha... it's so funny to hear!
After dinner we went back to Times Square (in the dark!!!) and went to Broadway to see "Lion King". Oh my gosh, it's awesome!! I can't even describe it in words...

Ok, that was pretty much it...I'm just gonna show you some pictures (it was a bit difficult to take pictures, since it was raining the whole time and it was so full of people...)

Well, it's on the side...I have to figure out how to change that.

That's the building at Times square you always see on TV...

Dreams
Von eva-amiland, 15:23

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

From Langston Hughes, my favourite American poet (from the Harlem Renessaince)

puppies and a roadtrip
Von eva-amiland, 18:30

Yesterday me, Kelly and Nancy took a roadtrip to Plymouth, Indiana. Well not really. We went to a town ( I forget the name) that is probably the tiniest one I have ever seen, actually it was not even a town. There were only a few houses in the middle of nowhere. It was pretty, though.
Ok, you are probably wondering why we did that. Well, my hostfamily thinks they need a third dog and that it has to be a golden retriever. Last week they found a note in the papers from a breeder whose puppies will be ready to pick up right after spring break, when they want to get the dog. Nancy called and yesterday we went out there to look at the puppies and to pick one out.
So, we went on that almost 2 hour long roadtrip through Indiana and it was really kinda neat to see more of the state (although there is not really a lot to see). When we arrived at the breeder's house, we were welcomed by a really nice, old couple. Their house is amazing; it is a little bit like a museum. It is really old and you could tell that those people lived there their whole live. Probably even their parents.
Ok, now, it is hard to believe, but it is true. They have around 45 golden retrievers at the moment!! At least 10 big ones (and they are really big), then they have three litters of puppies, one older one and two that are only four weeks old.
The people told us, they had never had so many...
The big ones were outside, but at night they are always inside the house. You should think it would smell and that the house is dirty, but actually it was really clean and didn't smell at all.
Well, I am a little bit lazy right now, but I wanna finish the story. So I am just gonna tell you, that the puppies were sooo cute and tiny. They always fell asleep in my arms!! =) So cute!
After we spend almost one and a half hours there, we finally picked one out. The smallest and lightest one...
We are going to pick him up after spring break! Well, the house is gonna be full then!

Tonight me, Maria and her hostmom will go to the ballett. I am excited to see, how it's gonna be!
